INSIGHT Training, Support & Consultancy provides practical, evidence-informed training and professional support for education, care and family settings.
Led by Paul Bray FIFIP: BA (Hons) PGCE NPQH MEd, the work brings together expertise in SEND, behaviour, safeguarding, relationships and sexuality education, inclusion, relational practice and expert witness cases.
Every setting is different, so training is shaped around the people, challenges and priorities in front of us. The aim is simple: to build knowledge, confidence and practice that helps children and young people feel safer, better understood and more able to participate, learn and belong.

Training, CPD & Professional Support
Relationships & Sexuality Ed
Practical, inclusive training from the author of Providing Relationships and Sex Education for Special Learners. Designed for education, care and family settings, sessions build confidence around relationships, growing and changing, consent, self-advocacy and sexual health. Content is adapted to learner need and focuses on helping children and young people become better informed, included and safer.
Responding to Behaviour
Relational, trauma-aware training for education, care and health professionals. Explore behaviour as communication, regulation and dysregulation, functions of behaviour, survival mode responses, emotional development and the importance of adult response.
Participants leave with practical strategies help teams move beyond control and compliance towards safer, more attuned and effective support.
Understanding SEND
Practical training that builds knowledge and confidence in supporting learners with SEND and Additional Needs.
Sessions explore AAC systems, communication, sensory and environmental needs, neurodivergence, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and complex needs, while focusing on what helps people access, participate and belong.
Content can be adapted to different settings, teams and levels of experience.
Safeguarding
Training
Safeguarding Children and Young People: is a practical 6-hour course for education and residential care settings.
Participants explore signs of abuse and neglect, develop professional curiosity with disclosure, recording and reporting, information-sharing, allegations, safer decision-making and the particular vulnerabilities experienced by some children with Additional Needs. Notice carefully. Interpret cautiously. Act responsibly.
Thrive ApproachSupport
As a Thrive Licensed Practitioner and Trainer, Paul supports schools, settings and families to better understand the social and emotional needs that can sit beneath behaviour. Drawing on attachment, child development, neuroscience and relational practice, support can include staff development, reflective consultation and practical strategies that strengthen regulation, connection and readiness to learn.
Workshops
for Young People
Practical, engaging age-appropriate workshops that create space for children and young people to explore the issues affecting their lives. Topics include social media, wellbeing, identity, online pressures and healthy boundaries.
Sessions encourage discussion, curiosity and reflection, helping young people understand influence, recognise risk and develop confidence in making informed choices.
Expert Witness & Court Reports
SEND, behaviour, safeguarding and educational provision. Paul provides clear, evidence-based analysis for solicitors, local authorities and courts, including review of records, policies, risk management, reasonable adjustments, supervision, behavioural support and SEND provision.

Part 35-compliant style, clearly distinguishing between fact and professional opinion.
Public Speaking
& Media
Paul speaks nationally and internationally on SEND, behaviour, safeguarding, RSE, inclusion and relational practice. Recent work includes the World Education Summit, GESS Dubai, ICERI Seville, the World Inclusion Congress and TES SEND Shows. Talks combine evidence, professional experience and practical challenge, helping audiences rethink what behaviour means, how systems shape a sense of belonging.
